Please can someone tell me how to stop previously used search words from appearing again

One of my daughter's friends entered a bad word and it keeps popping up when the first letter (s) is entered into the google search box

I am sure there is a simple way to clear this

You can edit / control your personal information by doing the following;

1 Select "Tools" -> "Internet Options" (from your Internet Explorer Window)
2 Click on the "Content" tab
3 Click on the "AutoComplete" button
4 Edit as required

Alternatively, if you just want to get rid of the 'bad' word, simply press
the 'down' key (from the Google search field) until you highlight the
offending word or phrase and simply press the 'delete' key to remove that
particular entry.
