Hello all,
I have a question that probably has an easy answer and I'm just too fried to
come up with the right phraseology to get the answer I need from the
Newsgroup.

I have a form and the source is the tbl_Company. I want to be able to open
the form on the combobox (this is done), and be able to start typing the
first few letter and the name would either pop up or do a "not in list"
thing. "Not in List" I'm sure I can find, I've seen it before. It's the
typing thing that won't work. It does work in the form for entering a
purchase order. When I tab over to the Company combo box on that form, it
filters and I can then use enter to choose that company.

Can anyone help? Is my question too general?

Thanks!

I forgot to include that I wanted the address, phone, fax, etc... to all fill
in. The subforms would also need to work which shows all the purchase orders
for that company.

Thanks!

It certainly seems you want to use the Combo Box to locate a particular
record. In Access 2003, the Combo Box Wizard includes this as an option...
place that Combo Box in the Form's Header. I know Access 2003 was not the
first version to include this feature in the Wizard, but can't remember how
far back it goes.
