I have windows 2000. I recently installed the latest
service pack. I have Norton AntiVirus 2003 installed and
update it 4-5 times weekly. Three days ago when I signed
on-line a list of search items would appear on the left
side of my home page. I do not select the search button
to cause this to occur. Then a large window opens and
covers the entire screen. The bottom task bar is not
visible, the right mouse button is inoperable, there is no
close X in the upper right hand corner. The only way to
exit is Ctrl+Alt+Delete. I ran task manager and received
the following report: "Top 10 Links - Microsoft Internet
Explorer", "Search the Web! - Microsoft Internet
Explorer", and "Snowcrest, Inc. - Microsoft Internet
Explorer". Is this a virus problem, a system issue, or
can I change a setting somewhere?

Looks like MalWare that has it's way onto your computer to me.
Get Spybot S&D to remove it and also recommend Ad-Aware.
They both have free versions, but are good programs and worth the purchase
IMAO.

P.S. You might have a bug also. Run AV check online at www.antivirus.com
