search troubles

I have no idea what happened but when i types in a word
or string in the address bar instead of getting search
results I get page cannot be displayed.

I have scanned for viruses but who knows
Anyone have advise
 
There is some mal-ware going around that makes changes to your HOSTS file
and insets entries for some of the most popular search engines so that they
'Cannot be found' by IE.
