"Search" sites, pop-ups, and search side bars

This is my problem:
I found out that my default homepage is "about:blank",
and when I open my browser, a "search" page keeps on
showing while 6 pop-up ads are appearing on my screen.
When I tried to change my homepage, it was working, but
after I restarted it, the "about:blank" homepage still
shows, and on the Tools dialog box particularly on the
Homepage Text Field, the "about:blank" shows. What I did
is I reset the default configurations but the nothing
happens.
And when I always use a search engine (I only use Yahoo
and Google), another "frame" appears on my left and
sometimes, right side of the browser, showing results,
apparently, from other search engines.
I tried an anti-spyware, and it found lots of threats,
rest assured I removed them from my system. I also used
Ad-Aware and it found lots of ad wares on my system, but
I also deleted it. However, the problem got worst when I
downloaded a anti-keylogger program, not only did it
work, but, I think, it somehow modified my computer
settings i.e. disabled switching between users.
I also did a system restore, but nothing happens, always
the search-about:blank website is the first thing I see
when I open IE6

you have a hijacker big time. go to computer cops forum
and have a look, there is so many diff. kinds of the
hijacker. also restore may contain a copy of it within.

If you used "anti-keylogger", it either was a very old version 2.4 (it
scans system and can delete files it doesn't like) or maybe you have
something extremely malicious, but of another kind. If you used the
old version of "anti-keylogger" try the new one (get it from
www.anti-keyloggers.com) - it doesn't scan the system or delete files,
it just blocks any keylogging, whatever it comes from. The disabled
switching between users and the other stuff may be the result of some
non-keylogging malware. Try as many anti-spyware as you can, most of
them are free or available as shareware until some of them works. Spy
Bot, Pest Patrol are the most known-have you tried them? If yes there
are a lot of others. You know, "if at first you don't succeed,
try…something else."
