This is a query about the search function in Windows XP
home edition - If I create and save a document(or
anything for that matter) to My Documents - and then do a
search for a document on my computer the search results
list three instances of the document! Obviously there is
only one instance of the document - and the details in
the listing verify this - my question is - why does it
occur 3 times??

Only one is the document the others are shortcuts. Look at
them close. One short cut will be in your recent folder
