Search Results Window Always Becoming Topmost Once Search Completes

I'm wondering if someone knows of a way to turn off a feature of Windows
2000 that I find most annoying. When searching for a file or folder, I tend
to enter in my search, start it, then move off to another application to
perform some other task while the search runs in the background. Once the
search completes, the Search window automatically becomes the topmost,
active window - even though I may be doing something in another application
and I don't want the search window to become active (I'll get back to the
search window in my own time and I certianly don't want the fact that the
search completed to interfere with what I'm currently doing - something
that's happening all too often). Does anybody know of how to turn this
behavior off so that the Search window doesn't become active when the search
completes?

Thanks.

Haven't tried this, but does it still happen if you
minimize the search window after you start the search?
