search parameters

I have Word 2002. Is there a way to delete previous search
parameters when I'm searching for a file with a certain
word in it, and start with a clean slate? In other words,
if I've chosen several directories in which to look for
something previously, I may not remember that those
directories are chosen the next time I'm searching, and
depending on how large those directories are, the search
could take a lot more time.

If there is a way to do this, I would like to know about it. It's the reason
I gave up on searching in Word and use Windows Explorer instead.

Thanks for the reply. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is
frustrated with this.

It would be so helpful to have a Reset or Clear All key to clear the X's
from all the folders. <sigh>

That is exactly what I was thinking. Great minds....

There's no way I can remember, for instance, today, what
parameters I set last week for a search. So I spend time
looking for these X's that I may or may not have checked
off.

Thanks for commiserating with me.

Looks like we're both posting through NNTP, but if I remember it the next
time I go to the Office Community, I'll post this as a suggestion.
