Search Pane Results

If the user clicked on a link from the results displayed in the left hand
search pane it used to display the page on the right hand pane. Now the page
is displayed on the search pane and clears the other results of the search.
How do I correct this? Thanks for any replies.

If the user is using the default Windows Live search option, this is a known
issue for a couple weeks now with the coding of that search site. Hopefully
a fix will appear soon. If you can't wait, change your default to Google.

See http://www.google.com/options/defaults.html - scroll down the page a
bit. Use the second-linked .reg file to have the search results open in the
main window. Grab the "undo" file while you are there, if you want to
switch back to IE's default search provider (Windows Live Search) in the
future.

Also in this group, see the thread on Oct. 1st by "thinman" titled "IE 6
Search Problem".

The default URL for the IE 6 search pane is
http://search.msn.com/spbasic.htm and I belive they have not fixed the
coding issue there. Yup, they haven't - clicking on the search results
still have them coming up in the search pane instead of the main window.
