I had a ton of spyware on my computer that kept referring
me to the wrong websites when I typed in a search item in
the address bar. Before these spyware attacked my
computer, I had been able to type anything in the address
bar and MSN would come up with an automatic search. Now
that I've removed all that junk, if I type anything in
the address bar for search, (for example 'microsoft') I
get this: http:///? microsoft and a 404 error on the
screen.
There is no search - it just tries to take me to a
website exactly as what's typed in. As I said, before
the spyware, if I typed 'microsoft' in the address bar, I
got search results for 'microsoft'. I thought if I could
just reload IE I would be OK, but because I have 'a more
update version' I can't even do that. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
