I have IE-7. I noticed today that on web sites with search boxes, I can
click on the empty box twice, slowly, and a list of previously entered words
or phrases appears, and only those that were used on this particular site.
Some of these would be embarrassing to others should they inadvertently and
innocently click twice in these boxes.
How do I remove them? -- without removing my saved passwords and desired
cookies, or is that the only way?
Thank you for keeping me from blushing...

Hi,
Go to Internet Options> Content> Autocomplete. Clearing forms, but not
passwords will clear these search box entries. You might also turn off
autocomplete for forms. I've never found it to be useful since I don't
search on the same terms repeatedly. ;-)

To eliminate only a selected term, select it (just put the pointer on it)
and hit the Delete key.

Hope this helps,
