The other day I opened a Fourth of July screen saver and
now the company or one of it's advertisers has taken over
my address bar. I like searching from the address bar
and now, everytime I type in anything to search for i
automatically am re-directed to this off brand search
engine that is full of garbage. I have even tried to "Go
Back" to the day before but that doesnt work.

Can anyone tell me how to change back to the default
search for Internet Explorer. I have tried all the
things the Explorer help file says to try.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi David - Re-name the attached file from .txt to RestoreSearch.reg and
double click on it to restore your search from Address Bar to the
defaults. You may have to re-setup your customize settings in the
Search Bar, however.

The same thing happened to me but it wasn't from a screen saver. I have no
idea from what though. It kept directing me to searchitnow.com. Which is a
domain name for sale. I like to search from the address bar also. I tried
this fix and I still can't search from the address bar. Can you suggest
something else? Thanks.
Debbie
