When you try to use our published search forms and request forms you get the
user name and password box. How do we let people just use the request and
search with no passwords? Also how to have external link open in a separate
page or in a frame?

Dear Keth,

Forms created in FrontPage, don't automatically have access passwords set,
unless they were defined in the design. Take the login/password fields and
definitions off the forms and let everyone in...if you have the authority to
do so!

Let me know if you need more help.

Dear Keth,

About your other question, to have a file open in another window, after the
file name, space one and then type target="_blank". To have the file open in
another frame, type target="FRAMENAME".

Here is the full syntax example:

<a href="[FILENAME]" target="_blank">Display Text</a>

Let me know if you need more help and many blessings to you!

The Login/ Password box comes up when you try to do a search. The same one
that comes up when you publish the site. They are not on the forms, sorry I
didn't make it very clear. There are just the 2 default boxes on the search
form.

Yes (CIHosts) , they said to contact Front Page assistance.

Get a new host. They suck.

The user/pass comes up because the search response is a dynamic file that is
held in a virtual folder in the FrontPage server extensions.

That virtual folder has the wrong permissions on it. Chance are, they
recently went through and tried to "secure" based on some crap "security
scanner" service and screwed it up then.

Your web site FrontPage server extensions are messed up. It won't get fixed
until your host reinstalls them or otherwise fixes the problem. Or, get a
new host... or you use a different search method. (Like an ASP form hooked
to Indexing service)
