Search for text in a file not working...

Hi,

I have some files listed as err file and when I use the search facility to
look for text within them it doesn't find any file. The file opens in
Notepad and can be read.

Any ideas?

Personally, I think that the search capability in XP is pretty awful. I
always install the free Agent Ransack on all my XP machines. It wil do
what you want and more.

Yep Windows search sucks. Why would there not be an easy way within Vista to
search for text within a file?


I had Microsoft support point me to this discussion group for help....That
was thier solution.
