We are using Access to print tax forms. One page of the report is devoted to
each record in the database. Sometimes we have around 1000 pages for the
report. Is there anyway to search the report for a particular person. Is
there a way to do this?

You have it a bit backwards.

The data is not in the report. The data is in the tables.

The data is DISPLAYED in the report.

Try using a query to get a specific person's data.

And if you are running Access 2007 you can type the person's name in the
Search field at the bottom of your data entry form. Access doesn't care if
the characters are upper or lower case and a complete name is optional.
Access will return a filtered list of the records that meet your criteria.

That's true. However, if you really do want to search the
already-formatted report, you could output it to Word or PDF, then
search either of those formats.

If you aren't using a later version of Access that support native PDF
output, then you can use a free PDF print driver like CutePDF.
