Search facility

Keying a word into the "Address" space in IE6 used to prompt a web search
for that word. Then I had a relatively minor virus problem which was sorted,
but the it now prompts a search on my hard drive rather than on the web.

Suggestions as to how to correct this will be gratefully received. I thought
of reloading IE6, but will that remove my settings, favorites, etc?

From a previous post by Jim Byrd, try the fix.

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/RestoreSearch2.REG , then reboot.
Post back if that doesn't fix it.
