search engine trouble

I have windows 98se. I can go to yahoo.com, but when I
type in a request, all i can get is "page not displayed".
Why am I getting this, it just started all of a sudden.
It won't let me go to any other search engine main pages.
Please Help!

The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).
