When I type something in on any search engine such as yahoo.com it will
give correct links to the site however when I click on said link it
will take me to some kind of shopping site and I have to go back and
reclick twice than it will take me to the correct site. For example: on
google.com i will type in nfl. One of the first sites that comes up is
nfl.com, so i click on it but it takes me to hometeams.com instead. I
dont know what the problem could be. It seems to be adware or possibly
trojan of somekind or perhaps something quite easy ive overlooked, so
I've used spybot, ad-aware, ewido, and mcaffee spy-ware removal tools
plus others and cant get it fixed. Ive used the regestry to reset the
internet explorer search engine settings as well as used several
anti-virus and stingers to check for possible viruses. I also disabled
3rd party extenions. Im running Ie6 and Im confident its something easy
im missing here but I cant seem to fix the problem. Any help would be
great. Thanks

Hi patriot :-)

You likely have a hijacker on your system. Follow the instructions of the
information listed below to 'fully' clean your system. There are some types
of malware that will replicate itself each time you reboot if you don't
remove it correctly. Please follow all instuctions carefully:

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

Hope this helps.
