search eml messages

vista doesn't seem to search my eml messages any more. it used to just pop
them up in the start menu area. the only thing that I can think of that
changed is that a new version of windows live mail desktop was downloaded to
my machine a few days ago.

Right-click start button > Properties > Customize > Check the 'Search
communications' option
