I'm guessing you had the mouse properties set up for easy launcher settings.
Which to be honest I didnt even know existed until I read your post and
looked!!

So go start - settings - control panel - mouse . Buttons tab - Right. Click
the down arrow and select "Easy launcher" then Apply - OK. If that doesnt
work you may have to set up your "Easy Launcher Settings" again under the
Micellaneous tab.

HTH.

PS. re first post. This is a public forum not actually MS.

:o)

No success, it is also not present under File - Search.

I have NO option to search for Files unless I type under Search on Start Up
but that is not an option. To annoying.

If you got a keyboard that has the Windows-key, the use the Windows-key
and F-key combination to start Search.

Search link (present in the right-hand side of the Start menu) is removed
when you install Windows Vista Service Pack 1. Also, the Search context menu
item is removed. There are other ways to launch search. For more
information, read this article.
