Search & discussion groups

I set up a discussion group, that is protected from unauthorized users.

I noticed that there is a 'search' feature in the discussion options, in
addition to add a new message. When I try to use the search feature, it
says the 'service is not running'.

What service is this? I checked in IIS, but don't see anything there. Am I
missing it? I'm using FP2002 extensions.

Index Server is not running and a index catalog needs to be built.

Go to Service dialog and start Index Server, then open Index Server and look
for the option to build a catalog for the specific web site. Personally I do
not use Index Server or have the service running on my W2K server.
