Just open search and click change preferences. You may
remove him or change characters.

Hi, I want to delete search companion too because everytime I double click on a folder now it goes to search. I downloaded the Tweek UI, but now I can't find it. You said explorer was near the bottom - the bottom of tweek or explorer? Where do I go to turn off search companion? Thanks. I have xp pro.

Diane,

This issue has nothing at all to do with Search. To correct:

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /i shell32

Hi Kelly, Sorry, I guess I didn't read the issue close enough. I just saw the word search and am so frustrated with not being able to just double click on a folder to open it , but rather having to right click then click open. Regsvr32/i shell/32 will let me go back to double click to open folders? Thanks. Diane

Most welcome, Diane. Thanks for the feedback.
