When I click on "Search" button on Wondows Explorer or
from "Start" menu, the search companion doesn't appear.

I haven't made any changes and I don't hink it's ther
Qhosts worm, because IE can go to Google ok. Any ideas
where to look in the registry?

Hi,

Locate the srchasst.inf file under C:\Windows\Inf, right-click it and choose
install. See if this helps.

You may need to set folder options/view tab to see hidden and system files
in order to locate this file.

Hi John,

Click Start | Run | and type:
"Regsvr32 /i browseui"

This should fix the search problem. If not let us know.
