When searching a folder or drive, or from Start > Seach > For Files or
Folders, you get a Textbox at the upper right. I assume most people
are searching for a file or folder by name or portion of the name
(string). When I type in, say, "temp" (no quote marks) or *temp in
this Textbox, a huge, seemingly random set of files and folders
appears, most without the string "temp" in their names.
I figured out that to get the desired result you can either (1) use
the Name textbox in Advanced Search and type in the desired string
there or (2) in the main Textbox type in "Name:Temp" (or whatever
string you like after the colon, without the quote marks).
Question: Can you set the Search feature so that the main Textbox
automatically searches for Names unless directed otherwise?
Thanks.
