search button

when i press the search button i get google instead of msn but its only
a small portion of the page ... it only lets me expand it to half the
screen width

is there any way to have the search button act as a favourite to google
instead of the pane it uses ... i could alter it back to msn but i dont
want to use msn
 
Have you tried the "Customize" button on the search pane?
That's what I used to change the search engine.

when i click on customize i cant seem to change it from msn search to
anything else .. how do i add to msn search or change a setting in there
- which other search engines work properly in the small search space
too?
