There is a "BUG" in every Windows OS created since Windows 2000. It is
contained in the option "Search a word or phrase in the file". Windows XP and
later will not search inside a file that was not recognizable windows
extensions unlike the previous versions. Even after associating the extension
with a valid program, "Search a word or phrase in the file" still will not
work.
Example: file names "Test.cpr and Test.txt" are opened with "Notepad". I am
searching the word "Cell" located in side "Test.cpr and Test.txt". "Search a
word or phrase in the file" will only display results in "Test.txt". I have
tested this on Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows 2003
Standard Server, Enterprise and Storage.
All Operating Systems after Windows 2000 had this problem.
