Does anyone know if there is a way to delete the search
words in Internet explorer..old search words typed into
the search bar always appear when doing a new search
..

Download a handy tool from here:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/utils/MRUClean.exe

Courtesy: Ramesh [MVP]

Initiate the tool, click to select "Internet Explorer typed addresses" and
click Clear.

I waas looking for the same question and found this
posting -

internet options->content->auto complet
make appropriate settings and use the "clear" buttons to
erase history.
