Scott

When I try to use the address bar to search for
something, for example halo, I get directed to the, "The
page cannot be displayed" error page. and in my address
bar it says "http:///? halo". I have tried numerous
ways to fix this but nothing is working. I would
appreciate any help with this.

These seems to be a common a problem. I have a read a
couple of other posts regarding the same issue. This is
currently happening to me. I have tried all sorts of
spyware, adware, virus scans, etc...The one thing that I
did notice is that when I log onto the same computer as a
different USER (available with XP), I can search the web
using the address bar without the ?%20 error.

My guess it has something to do with the registry
and/or .dll's. I have searched the reg's and dont seem to
find anything too differnt.

Sorry NO Fix yet...But your not alone..

Scott,
Work through the solutions at:
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
I'd run the removal programs in this order:
Ad-aware
Spybot S&D
CWShredder
HijackThis, if the others fail. Use HijackThis to post a log to the
spywareinfo forum.
