Search and Replace

I have a folder that has about 200 files in it that were named incorrectly.
Is there a way to do a search and replace for the filenames in taht folder. I
have XP Pro.

Yes, with a caveat that might make it a NO. But only maybe, depending
on HOW you want to do the rename. Assuming your machine is up to date,
select a bunch of files, right click, click Rename, and read the dialog
box that pops up. That's the only renaming you can do.
Lots of 3rd party files can do what you want. I don't use 3rd party
any more than I have to so have nothing to recommend but I know they're
available.

If you have not done this before, it would be safer not to
to rename but to COPY from NAME1??? to a new folder
as NAME2??? and then check the results before MOVing
the new files into the work folder.
