Hi,

Running Exchange 2003 using Outlook 2007 on the clients.

One particular user has Windows XP with Outlook 2007, his main Exchange
account & an additional e-mail mailbox open of which he has full access to.

He has no problems with this additional mailbox other than searching it...

When he clicks on a folder that has a large amount of sub folders & then
types in his search critera in the search box & his return, it just comes
back & says nothing found in his "all mail items" this relates to his own
mailbox & not the additional one!

If i tweak the "Instant Search Pane" options to "When searching, show
results from : Only the currently selected folder" & click on a sub folder
in the additional mailbox & search, it works... But obviously you have to
know which folder the mail is in that you are looking for & with this
particular user he has no chance becuase he has that many sub-folders!

So... does anyone know how to get round searching additional mailboxes in
Outlook 2007 against Exchange 2003. I have tried this on a few PC's running
XP & Vista & have come up with the same results.

Any help would be muchly appreciated!

Many thanks in advance, Mat

Hi Diane,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

When checking the settings on WDS 4.0 it seems that the additional mailbox
is greyed out.

Is there something that I need to enable?

Cheers

it's a limitation of search. Try using windows desktop search on the
desktop - it finds messages in secondary mailboxes here.

I don't know - I only know it works here and I didn't do anything to enable
it. Are you using cached mode?
