I installed the update to WDS 4.0 and it's great. There is a performance
issue I am having with outlook 2007. If I open the search explorer
(Window+F) and select "e-mail" and enter a search term or select "other" and
use kind:rss search term the index finds the emails or RSS items I am looking
for in less than 5 seconds which is absolutely amazing. The let down is when
I try to open these items from search. Using a stopwatch I have determined
that most items take no less than 15 seconds to open after clicking on them
with most cases taking between 22 seconds and 31 seconds. If I go into
Outlook 2007 and pick the folder for an item and search for the term it
appears instantly and opens in about one second after I click on it.
I have Outlook 2007connected to an Exchange 2007 server, there is also a PST
store for a GMail IMAP account, and an archive PST that Outlook is connected
to. WDS should know where the messages are in the PST or OST and tell
Outlook which message to open, but for some reason the communication appears
to have a bottleneck between the two applications.
Has anyone seen this and/or found a solution?
