Has anyone purchased Sean Limings latest book?
$360 seems a bit pricey for a book.
Is it really that much more valuable than his previous book?
I have yet to find a review from an unbiased source.
Even the publishers description fails to justify the price tag to me.
Has the price tag kept everyone away?

I happened to take a peek at the book at MEDC, and it's not bad... as to
whether or not it's worth the 360$, I guess that's up to you. I have not
bought it yet, but that's not to say I won't. there are some cool tips and
tricks in the book, as well as some decent tools for dev work.

If you are fairly new to the product, or moving from beginner to advanced
level with SP2, then I woudl probably say it's worth the money. Sean's
pretty good at what he does, so I am sure it's got good information.

Mine just showed up. It's basically a continuation of his previous
book, Windows XP Embedded Advanced, but smaller. It's sort of an
experiment in price flexibility, which I rather understand because I
don't think has last book sold that well.

If it saves me a couple of days it's worth it, otherwise I'll be a bit
annoyed. The .net wrapper for EWF is the main reason I bought it as I
knew I'd need to write one anyway. The one in the book is a bit
underwhelming for $360, so I hope the rest of the content is solid.

The book is focused on the SP2 features of XPe. Check out the table of
contents for the book on Sean's site. For each topic listed, there is some
useful information that will probably save you some time and add to your
previous knowledge-base. If that is worth $360 to you, then buy the book.

The book comes with 3 utilities that are useful, but I have primarily made
use of them because I have them and not because they are must have.

Yeah, after a day of looking at this intermittently I've decided it's
worth it, since it will probably save me a couple of days when all is
said and done.

I really hope this isn't the start of a trend for obscure technical
book pricing.
