Seagate ST38641a Hard Drive Just keeps trying to read disk ....

Seagate ST38641a Hard Drive Just keeps trying to read disk again and
again, but cant. I checked cables and everything seems fine. Could
there be some other reason?

Read a bit through the this group. There is a whole world of possible
reasons...
