Probably not, but check what the motherboard mfg'r says by
checking their web site. If you don't know who made the
motherboard you can download the Bel Arc Advisor from
www.belarc.com and it will report on the details you
need to know, such a make, model and serial number, BIOS
data and other details. It is free for private use.
BTW, you should alter your email so it won't be harvested by
the virus writers. Look out for the swen virus, it seems to
be popularly sent to people who post open email addresses on
these newsgroups.
Don't open attachments. MS does not send attachments/ does
not email updates. Returned email you did not send is
probably a virus. Email of 144 and 156 KB are common with
the virus.
Do go to Windows Update (Start/ Windows Update) Do update
your anti-virus. And do run a firewall.
