sd memory cards

Hi, I have a lexmark 3100 print trio/scanner/copier machine with the slots
for different sizes of Mem cards. Question: When I want to erase all the
pictures on that mem card, do I chose the option to format (like quick
format) and will that do the job. Its a feature that comes with my printer.
Will that in any way prevent me from reusing the memory card over and over
again?? I just started using these cards and dont want to do the wrong thing
Also, can one delete a few pictures and not all???

I am not familiar with the printer you
are using but as a general rule...it's
not a good idea to allow your computer
to format a memory card. Maybe the
instruction manual for the printer would
offer some useful info.

I'm thinking it's best if you delete the
files from your memory card and/or
format your memory card using the
options in your camera's menu.

Yes, you can delete one or more files
and retain the remaining ones.

Never use your computer to erase or format a memory card used in a camera.
NEVER. If you did, don't worry, simply format the card again in your camera.
Look at your camera manual, usually, FORMAT is an option under FILE. When
you select FORMAT in your camera, all the files are deleted from your memory
card and your memory card is ready for new photo files.
Yes you can delete photo files (one or more) on the memory card using your
camera to do this. Look into your camera manual, you have the option, when
looking at a photo on the LCD of your camera, to delete it. Delete the photo
on your memory card using the menu option in your camera.
