Help!!!
I tried to launch my screensaver when computer is inactive
but it is not working. In the test mode screensaver is
launching fine. But in reality it is not launching (even
after various type time adjustment). I am using the
screensaver which only comes with os. OS is window 2000
with sp2.

One thing to try. Set SS=None, shutdown/reboot, reset the SS.

.
Can you be little more specific on where and how to set
and reset this 'SS' variable up. Thanks.

Desktop. R-click (Desktop context menu), select Properties, select
Screen Saver tab, In the Screen Saver drop-down list select
"(none)"...

I only suggest it as a possible way to "un-stick" something that
_might_ be causing a problem.

Also try using another user account. If that account works, then
clearly only the first account's profile has the problem.

My only other idea is that your system never detects the "idle" state
because something is running that keeps the system active....

You may want to re-post and indicate some of the programs running.
Especially any that do a window activation or pop-up dialog.
