Scrolling Text?

I'm looking to have a scrolling text field - not animated - but
where the text that is seen while on the slide can be scrolled.

Like a list of 100 names - where the slide when first presented
shows the first 10 names - and then one can scroll to whatever
10 you'd wish to see.

Possible?

Thanks in advance!

You are limited to the viewable screen area. But there are a few options I
can think of:
1. add links for "next 10" and "previous 10" that simply link to another
slide.
2. If using PPT 2003, use animation triggers to show and hide text boxes,
with the same links as in #1 as the activators.
3. Create an HTML page and insert it into your presentation (use this add-in

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for with
it's built-in placeholders, shapes and text boxes.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide a way of adding text scrollbars to placeholders, shapes and text
boxes (with scrolling in slide show), don't forget to send your feedback
(in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
