Hi, I just re-installed Win XP on my laptop due to picking up a virus, and
when I use the scroll bar on the touch pad my screen is doing some weird
things. Rather than just moving up or down the page, it seems to overlap
sections of the page before settling down. I know this may not be clear, but
I don't know any other way to desribe the issue. Any help would be
appreciated. Thank you

You need to install the video drivers (and other software) for your
laptop. Either use disks provided with the laptop or go to the laptop
mftr.'s tech support website for your specific model machine and get
all drivers and specialized laptop software there.

Malke,
Thank you for the response. I downloaded and installed the video and
touchpad drivers for my computer and the problem still exists.
Thanks

Normal sequence of installing drivers (may differ from OEM to OEM):

1. Chipset (motherboard)
2. Video
3. Audio (if not included in chipset)
4. Specialized laptop software
5. Touchpad, etc.

Check with your laptop's tech support for exact sequence and for more
help with the problem.
