Hi,

I cannot figure out how to reset my scrolling to "normal"
function, i.e. a nice, easy "slide" up & down versus this
annoying "wave" scroll thing happening now. I have been
into "Display" in Control Panel, done disk cleanup, and
defragmenting, with no results.

Anyone have any idea what else I can do to resolve this?

Thanks,

Mark

goto control pannel/mouse/wheel/the following number of lines at a time
let me know if this helps

another reason might be the display adapter which is jerky and causes the screen not to scroll smoothly. You can do this reinstall if you have the set up files for your display adapter. You will have to uninstall the current files and install the new files again. this will help u to get smooth scrolling.

To do this right click on my computer and then choose properties.
click on hardware adn then the device manager.
in the window that pops up expand the display adapter and select whatever is available there and then right click it and then select uninstall. you will be prompted to reinstall your computer and when the computer restarts you can install the fresh drivers from the cd when prompted for the path.
