Scrolling Problem

I am using Windows xp and I can scroll using the up and down arrows
normally, but my laptop has also been scrolling up and down when I
accidently touch the metal edge around the touchpad. Can anyone tell me
how to correct this problem? Thanks.

Most touchpads have this option. Go to the Mouse applet in Control Panel
and you can set your preferences for the touchpad there.
