Is there any backout for the latest "fix" until they
correct the scrolling problem? So glad I
faithfully/stupidly install their updates.

This is from the Microsoft tech working on scroll bar
problem. We are almost finished. We need a few more
beta tests and should be released in about two weeks.
Watch for national news broadcast and rollout by Bill
Gates himself.

You can try going to control panel/add-remove programs.
It was listed there as Internet Explorer Q824145 on my W2K
system, but other people have reported that they could not
find it there. On my machine, I missed it at first
because the damn scrolling problem skipped over the
listing! However, the arrow keys still worked properly
and after removing the patch, the annoying double scroll
was gone. If this doesn't work for you, go to the
Microsoft Knowledge Base entry for Q824145. If you dig
deep enough, you will find instructions for removing the
patch from a DOS command line.
