Does anyone know how to scroll a panorama across a PP
slide? I have seen it done but don't have access to the
original source. I would like to scroll from off screen
from left to right or vice-versa either pushing or
covering the slide in place before the panorama. The
panorama is wider than the slide horizontal size but
narrower than the slide vertical height. Thanks in
advance.

Since you are using PowerPoint 2002 (XP) you have access to motion paths.
You will need to insert the picture, size it, place it, apply a motion path,
and modify the timing to animate it across the screen as you describe.

1) Insert Picture
Insert | Picture | From File

2) Size it
You want the picture to be the height of the slide, even though it will be
much wider than the slide. Keep the proportions the same so there is no
distortion.

3) Place it
If you are having the picture travel from L=>R then line the right edge of
the picture up against the right side of the slide.

4) Apply motion path animation
Select the picture and click SlideShow | Custom Animation | Add Effect |
Motion Paths | Draw Custom Path | Line. Then click on the Left edge of the
picture and drag the motion path to the left edge of the slide. It will
jump to the center of the picture when you release the mouse, and this is
what you want.

5) Adjust timing
Use the pulldown arrow next to the animation name and select timing. Change
the speed to 60 (1 minute) and try it. Further adjust to suit.
