Scrolling Like on TV

I know how to do the scrolling the Text message at bottom of the screen
continously from Right to Left. But I would like to do create PPT just like
TV News. That is, the text message scroll continously at bottom from R-L
regardless of the slide change or not. I am using PP 2003

Don't think that can be done. One possible way I could think of is to do
scrolling text with video editing software, then insert the video into
PowerPoint. Have the video set to: Stop playing after 999 slides.

I'd hire out some custom Flash work for that. That's not really what
Powerpoint is for.

X2O Media can do this: http://www.x2omedia.com/ It's actually a
PowerPoint-based interface for digital signage, but it does the scrolling
stuff very well. (And I think the interface is pretty great, actually. Good
drag-and-drop stuff.)
