Using a Microsoft mouse scroll wheel or up/down arrow
keys causes the display to "flip" instead of having a
smooth scroll. It looks as if the page is being
refreshed each time the scroll wheel is used. If the
scroll wheel is turned a number of turns, the display
will just "flip", either up or down, for the number of
clicks the wheel was turned. Is there any way to smoothe
out the display movement? This same issue is seen in the
MicroSoft office suite using Word or Excel. I have the
XP Professional OS with MS Office 2000, running on a
Toshiba TECRA 9100 with the following configuration:
Intel 1.7Ghz processor, 40Gb hard drive, 256Mb RAM.
I also have dual boot on the PC, the second OS being
Windows 2000 Professional. I do not see the "flipping"
whenever I work in W2K.
Thanks for any suggestions you may have to remedy the
situation.
