I can't seem to get rid of the side scrollbar. I tried to change the size of
my table layout but it just leaves more space.
How can i set my page so that it exactly fits a fully maximized browser
window, without any extraspce on either side?

Thanks

You either; design your page to fit 750-760px wide viewport either centered or left justified fixed table (but this will leave you with empty real estate on either side or on the right), or you design with a collapsing (fluid) table that can adjust to variable viewports (a little trickier than fixed design).

How big is a fully maximised browser?

While you're at it, please tell me how long a string is.

That depends, Bob. How long a string are we talking about here?
