Scroll Over text

Kyle

I have a requirement to have text pop up when a user
scrolls over an object in a presentation.

I am currently using the ScreenTip for the pop up, but it
is not capable of being formatted (or is it??). It is
small to the visible eye.

Is there a better way to have text pop up on a scroll
over?

Thank you.

Kyle

Kyle,
What version of PPT are you using? This can be done using mouseovers but how
depends on your version.

Hello Kyle,

The Action Settings for mouse over do not include the option to simply
display text or to make a text box appear and disappear (rollover effect).
Also "Mouse on" and Mouse off" are not valid triggers for animation effects
either. As you discovered, the Screen Tips can be used in a limited manner
(since it's not really intended for this use).

However, if you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions as
to improved rollover/mouse-over capabilities in PowerPoint, don't forget to
send your feedback to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also why it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
