Hello,

Is there a way to include a scroll bar for a
picture/object/or bitmap? I have a picture from a web
application that I would like to use in a presentation.
The picture however is to big to fit on the slides. It is
actually several pages long. If I resize the object it
becomes extremely difficult to see the object. So I would
like to be able to scroll up and down describing what is
detailed in the object. Is this possible?

Thank You

Since you can't scroll off the screen, one way would be to edit the image
and split it into slide sized chunks. Add each chunk to a slide. Then
create a master slide of the original image that has been re-sized to fit a
slide. Create a rectangle that will cover the equivalent of the first
chunk. Link it to the "chunk slide". Assign it "no fill" and "no line" so
that it is invisible. Repeat for the other chunks.

I would prefer to use a scroll bar. Similar to the way you
can use the control object Microsoft Office Spreadsheet
11.0 in slideview. The only difference would be to use an
object rather than excel data.

Thanks

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).

It might work to use Shyam's Live Web addin, which lets you embed a browser
window in PPT. The browser could be displaying your image and will probably
display scrollbars if the image is bigger than the window alotted.

I think. ;-)
