THIS is so darned obnoxious that I'm going to have to permanently ban IE
browser from my computer. Not just every visit to every single website gets
this stupid popup window, but you end up clicking it multiple times to even
open a link or go to another page.

What in the WORLD was microsoft thinking when they created this abominable,
annoying, irritating new whatever it is:
"Scripts ae usually safe. Do you want to allow script to run?"

I'm already sick of the latest update, is there any way to get back the old
reliable IE browser?

No longer an IE fan. Get FireFox, at least it plays Macromedia Flash
movies, and I can no longer view any flash in my IE browser nor can I view
anything created with flash on my computer.

IT's very frustrating when lots of tutorials I downloaded are now useless.

So this is really about TWO MAJOR IE PROBLEMS. C'mon Bill.... with all your
billions can't you fix your horrible (and growing worse) software problems?

Don't blame Microsoft. Blame Eolas for getting and enforcing a patent
on elements of the HTML standards that are supported by all browsers.
And blame the US Patent Office too, for letting Eolas get the patent.

And don't think that Firefox is safe: Eolas could go after the Mozilla
Corporation (and AOL, and Opera, and every other browser maker) just as
it went after Microsoft: Firefox and the others could end up having to
do the same obnoxious things that Microsoft has been forced to do today
with IE.

Change your Security settings to Default Level?
(You have somehow activated Prompt for Active Scripting
which is not a normal default.)

E.g. doubleclick on the security zone icon in the IE Status bar
and click on that button.

I implemented the Eolas Patch work around as explained on:
http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/activecontent/articles/devletter.html

The page that contains my flash application is served via https.
Before I did the .js workaround to bypass IE Eolas Patch I did not get a
security warning: "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items.
Do you want to display the nonsecure items?"
But now it comes up.

The customers are not used to this. How can I get it not to show as before.

Thanks for any information you could give...

That setting for the security message you are seeing is controlled by IE's
security settings - Tools...Internet Options...Security tab, Custom button -
"Display mixed content" in the Miscellaneous section there.
