Does anybody have any thoughts on programs like Script Sentry?
Is a program like this necessary if we use a solid AV program like
KAV/F-Prot?
Thanks for any expert comments
PS: the above program is freeware from

AV programs are not the be all end all of protections and as such, they
are often considered threat management tools more than solutions to
problems you may face. Any form of security that you want to implement
on your system should be multi-faceted. Ensure your system is patched
against all known threats (Microsoft Update) and ensure you keep your AV
program is kept updated in both its detection ability and its engine.
Being out of date in either one of those could leave you vulnerable, and
last but not least, use 'wetware' to have the best chance at
protection... wetware is aka your brain.
That said, the Windows Scripting Host has been a known threat for
sometime, but you can do a couple of things that could prevent problems.
You can change your default file association to have scripts open
Notepad rather than WSH. Or you could install the above program.
Either one should protect you. Others may give you some different
information, but this is just my opinion and what Ive done in the past.
