i'm running xp pro sp2 and ie 7
how can i eliminate the popup alert that says "scripts are usually safe to
run. do you want to allow scripts to run.?'
I get this at almost every new or refreshed window some times in
multiples...

this is a rewrite of a previous post that i entered after taur arian
responded with a non answer and advising me to write my posts properly...so
here it is with a stick up my butt too. i reallize there are protocols that
need to be followed but the world could lighten up a bit.

however not to be disheartened , a gentleman is truly trying to help me with
my problem on the previous post.

Try this and see if it helps at all.

Open IE>Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab>In the Browsing section you can
Check the Box.

Disable Script Debugging[Internet Explorer]

Then hit Apply and Ok and see if that fixes it.

solved this by resetting ries as advised by don anadell on jan 30 ,,,,thank
you very much for all the help this forum has given me... im extremely
appreciative.....

I tried disabling script debugging for both IE and other. It did not stop
the "scripts" messages from popping up. Does anyone have some other
suggestion? This is giving me a royal pain (and I'm a commoner).

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

1. You might want to refresh your scripting engine:

2. Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

2a. Start | Run | Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2b. Start | Run | Regsvr32 jscript.dll

3. Re-register all DLLs listed in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

5a. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

5b. Find the hijacker that caused 5a to be checked (or if none were checked,
check for hijackware anyway):
